We had a blast at Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury, NC. I took the three kids by myself. We went gem mining, rode a small train, played on the playgrounds- there were three of them, and enjoyed a splash pad. We got to see amphibians and snakes and fish in the aquarium, had a petting zoo, a nature center and you can ride the carousel. We spent hours there and spent less than $50. We enjoyed so many activities and the kids were wiped out when we left for the day. They slept really well. It was about an hour drive there and back. The only things we had to pay for, was riding the train, the carousel, and gem mining.
Believe it or not, that is not all that you can do at Dan Nicholas Park. There are paddle boats, miniature golf, and a lake. You can camp on site, and they even have cabins that you can rent. The prices are extremely affordable. It was only a couple dollars for the train ride and carousel. We got one big bucket at the gem mine and split it with all the kids.
This is such a great place for kids and travel with families. You can enjoy some great family time with a super affordable price tag, and if you really needed to, you can enjoy it free with only the cost of the gas to get there. Go enjoy some #frugaladventures with your familiy.
This is not a sponsored post, just a place I paid to go and enjoy with my kids. I highly recommend and they are really looking forward to going back.
